Always a pleasure. I slightly prefer their lunch menu over their dinner menu but both work for me. They also have quality entertainment on weekends. All around a consistently enjoyable experience. Love their lunch salads!

Update : came back. Great food and service. Awesome lobster roll! They have 1 dollar oysters for happy hour which is 4 pm to 6:30 pm! Vegan options , and craft beer!

Food and service were ok - ambiance needs updating. Nothing memorable, sorry Nick & Johnnie's.

We stopped in for lunch on a Friday. The place was full outside, but there was no wait for a table inside. We had the red snapper fish sandwich and the fish tacos. The food was good, but unremarkable. The menu selection seemed a bit short, much like this review.

In town for an event being held nearby. Had a chance to sneak out and have dinner on my own. Saw that Nick & Johnnie's looked pretty light and healthy. Upon arrival, bartender Michelle hooked me up with a beer (warning: beer list short in this day of IPAs) that was tasty. She then recommended the tuna taco appetizer, which was the most popular item. I obliged. I ate that and the cevice with avacodo. I liked both, but the cevice was outstanding. For dinner I had the Kale saled with blackened chicken, which was also spectacular. Loved the place. It's big and wasn't full, but it was Monday. Recommended.

Great atmosphere, super friendly staff, excellent fish tacos, perfectly mixed Manhattan and eclectically phenomenal music mix.

Excellent environment. Staff is super friendly and it's my favorite brunch place around! The brunch is super clean and because of the size of the place it's never crowded even when they are pretty busy. The couple of times we have gone for dinner they had solid options and take gluten free pretty serious which is always nice. I have heard they have a dj in the weekends layer at night , I haven't been but have heard it's a good time by many.

Based mainly on the service... Lack there of My husband and I went at 1230 for brunch. We were told we would have to wait 20 min for an outside table yet there were tables that sat "reserved " for over 20 minutes We sat at the bar. It took too long to get our drinks there and we were told they would come back for our order in a minute. That was a long minute because the table we were waiting for was available before the bartender came back for our order and the bar wasn't even full We were seated at our table with NO SERVER for over 12 minutes before I got up and asked the hostess to kindly get us a server. He arrived we placed our order. We only saw him one other time and that was to bring us our food after 39 minutes!! I spoke to the manager before the food arrived and it magically appeared. No follow up from the server to see if we needed anything else or to bring water. The manager claims they are busier then expected. That may be the case for late food but servers not bringing water to the table when greeting you within a few minutes of being seated is not a kitchen problem. It's terrible service. Each table around is also had to continuously ask for drinks and service. Never never will we go again Food: fish tacos ok Chesapeake Benedict very good

This was the former Chuck & Harold's (where the Bloody Mary's were fantastic). My friend and I stopped in for Bloody Mary's and our bartender was Michelle-very friendly, attentive and efficient! The Bloody Mary's were okay, but needed more horseradish, spice and a tad more vodka. We found them to also be a little overpriced. Great location and look forward to having a meal there in the future.

We sat on the outside patio for dinner. Out waitress, jenn, was very attentive. I ordered baked chicken (which was a bit dry), quinoq and brussel sprouts which were both on point. My date ordered the red snapper with Tabbouleh, which he claims his dish was delicious. They have a full bar and decent wine list. I'm not certain if they have a happy hour. This establishment is on Palm Beach island which has many nice restaurants and interesting people watching experiences.

Very good fish tacos - the day we were there they were Mahi Mahi, which I suspect they always are. We got the lobster and ahi tuna tacos as an appetizer, and while they were very good they were a little too small for the price. 333/365

The service and ambience were great! The ribs were very dry. The cooks were leisurely walking through the restaurant. Won't be back.

We had our rehearsal dinner here and it couldn't have been more perfect. The event planner was lovely and so helpful. The menu they created for us was delicious, each dish better than the last. The wait staff was on point: we had kids, picky eaters, and many glasses that needed refills! The night was stress free for me, which was such a gift. There are not enough praises that I can give. This is also one of our fav stops to sit at the bar and grab a burger when we come into town! A Palm Beach must!

I visited this restaurant off season and the majority of people in the restaurant were in my group. for some reason the owner decided he wanted my table free and sent the manager to chase us off. I told the manager we hadn't been served yet and I wanted to eat where I was. she went to the kitchen and brought my food out. at that point the owner came by and asked why we hadn't moved yet and I said I wanted to have my food here. he then yelled "fuck you" and threw my food. he told me to leave the restaurant, which I cautiously did, because it seemed as if he wanted to hurt me. my message to future diners is that there is nothing on the menu here that you cant get at another restaurant. some people might have had a decent dining experience here before, but the owner seems unbalanced. you would be wise to just walk down to the next establishment and not gamble your precious evening on the chance something crazy is going to happen. you've been warned!!!

Horrible food and service here. Went for a party with work and the staff was horribly rude. The food was also very minimal for paying a lot of money per person to eat there. Will not suggest this place to any one, even tourists. Wont go back.

Ok yelpers... you did great! I ordered the Ahi Taco's as suggested by several other yelpers and they were amazing!!! Also had the white bean and ham soup very hearty and delicious. Hubby had the cheese burger and fries and just so you know he is a cheeseburger and fry connoisseur. He said it was one of the best cheeseburgers he's ever had and the fries were incredible! I can't wait to go back for more! also very cool atmosphere. Our server Chelsea was the best!

Been here several times . Great brunch first of all. Make sure you come early and make a reservation. Awesome . The food wow very good and selective. Yummy lobster rolls and tuna tacos but much moray and great drinks. Another good thing is that it opens late everyday . And the bar is like from the past, nostalgic and with great lighting. The skirt steak also is very good. Great place must check it out.

Had 150 guests here for a private party - everything went perfect!!! It was a welcome party the night prior to my wedding. The service, food, music, and drinks were all great. Trish was wonderful to work with and so was the manager on that night. I forget his name- maybe Anthony? Everyone spoke so highly about Nick and Johnnies! I didn't have to worry about a thing here. Thank You!!

I'm not sure why this restaurant got so many good reviews. Maybe it was an off night but the service was terrible and food mediocre at best. We had to send a drink back and actually go to the cashier to get the bill. Really a bummer of a night.

Very disappointing lunch yesterday. I've eaten here before with better success. Ordered a calamari appetizer and a Caesar salad with grilled shrimp. They were out of calamari. What kind of seafood restaurant runs out of calamari? The salad was boring with barely any flavor. The shrimp, thank goodness saved lunch. There were done perfectly (that is to say not overdone) with a nice seasoning. The first drink was a boring margarita similar to ones you get in most chain restaurants - very sweet with minimal interest. The second drink was not even worth drinking - so I didn't. It was special lemonade with muddled fruit and vodka. The bartender was more interested in the gentlemen at the bar and less interested in making drinks. Not impressive. The drink had zero, and I mean zero flavor. What's the point? You should know what you are serving.

Pretty awesome place place. Sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful fall air. Waitress kind of forgot us so we had to wait to order the bottle of wine we wanted and the staff didn't comprehend the need or ability to cork the remains of the bottle when we couldn't finish it Other than that we totally enjoyed our lobster risotto and very awesome crab cake. It was incredible. True lump and back fin. Did this Marylander proud. The lobster however was a tiny bit tough. Last bit of ohhhhh was when we decided to go for it and order the red velvet waffle. Sounds awesome, right? Well, no joy. Out of waffles tonight. We settled for the beignets with chocolate and caramel. The caramel was in the category of awesome with the crab cake and the beignets were crisp and fluffy. A hit. Looking forward to returning to give 5 stars when it all comes together. Greatness in the works. Loo

Hours wrong . Fix your yelp. Called person said serving till 9:30-10:00 get there around 9:30 and was told only appetizers, then when I say I just called then they decided to change their mind and saying we can serve you. Left won't be back. Go else where where people want business

It's a laid back relaxed and relaxing place to have an enjoyable meal located right on the corner if Royal Poinciana Way and County Road in Palm Beach. Having been here on a number of occasions, I can attest to the fact that they have a really great Waldorf salad, a lobster roll ever bit as good as those served at Linda Bean's, some really fine crab cakes and generally have an excellent selection of oysters served either raw or fried. As it is a rather popular place during the "in season" it's best to have reservations which may be conveniently made while online through Yelp. Dress is casual and the prices rather reasonable considering its location, quality of food and service.

Good coffee, good service. Not a legit omelette. It was not a homogeneous yellow, the outside was browned. Still overall good place to eat. My girlfriend got a salad with avacado and poached eggs which I may come back for.

ridiculous place to be in palm beach!! the price of course is palm beach! overpriced s*** !! how do they dare to present that to patrons?? do the owners eat what they serve? i doubt it because it is tourist trap not for locals of course but unadvised tourists! embarrassing! please refrain from ever going to that place! you're better off just going to burger king!

Finally! A restaurant with the Palm Beach ambiance without the Palm Beach attitude! I stopped in Nick and Johnnies because a few of my friends recommended it. It's in a beautiful location and the owners have done a wonderful job creating a relaxing yet refined atmosphere. We sat at the bar and were waited on by Mary the bartender, who was very chipper and cheerful, she was also familiar with the menu and recommended the chicken enchiladas, which were some of the best we had ever had. Mary was also very attentive and even chatted with us when her workload wasn't too busy. We will definitely be coming back for more!

Family members like this place and we went today for lunch. I was not overly impressed and found it rather mediocre and forgettable. We sat in the very cool back area which utilizes the outdoor space by being covered so you can avoid the south Florida rains and heat. A comfortable, casual atmosphere. Started off with the gazpacho. It was a small cup served all with garnishes of peppers, onions, cucumber. It was a good thing the garnishes were served with the soup as it lacked flavor without them. Then we had a lobster roll. For $22 dollars I was underwhelmed. It was lump lobster meat but the portion was very small. I know lobster rolls are usually small and pricey but sometimes the taste justifies the price and that was just not the case here. My side of rice and beans unimpressed as some of the rice was clumpy and undercooked. Service started off friendly enough. However it ended up being underwhelming too. My mother asked for a cup of coffee with her lunch and it literally took 15 minutes to get a cup and seemed like it was a 4 person operation to get it. Not in a rush to return but will give it another try if family members want to go.

One of my favorite places to eat in Palm Beach! The signature cocktails were delicious and arrived promptly with our appetizers. Split the salmon dish and molten chocolate cake desert. Food was exceptional and our waitress was very friendly. Will definitely be coming back.

Loved this place. Arrived early afternoon on a Friday as i had some time to kill before the evening. The most lovely staff who were great to converse with and were truly polite - seems to be a theme with this area! The food was incredible and rather addictive which was handy with the huge serving! Well worth a visit for lunch or dinner if you're in the area. Looking forward to trying here again in the evening

Our experience at Nick and Johnnies was like a compelling episode of one of those Restaurant Impossible or Kitchen Nightmares shows. It was bizarre and not to be believed. Preface by saying we were a party of 8 enjoying a family reunion for a long weekend on Singer Island. We are people who typically research restaurants...always trying to find a great meal experience wherever we go. The reviews for this place were encouraging so we booked it. The front area was lovely and quaint, and we were brought to our table in the back which felt a little dated. Our waitress was young and very pleasant. We ordered a bottle of wine and some cocktails. The bottle of wine was set down on our table, unopened, and the waitress walked away leaving us staring at the unopened bottle for probably 10 minutes until she returned. OK, no big deal. Ordered some apps....oysters were tiny, but ok still no big deal. Ordered entrees. A couple of us decided to split the skirt steak and the lobster. Others ordered just the lobster, others steak. We were told they didn't have the skirt steak, no big deal, can we have filets prepared the way the skirt steak was offered...with mushrooms and a fried egg. Sure. Can we have more bread please? sorry, but we are out of bread and are waiting on a delivery (friday night). After a lengthy wait and another bottle of wine, the food arrives. Literally everything on the table was overcooked.. Steaks ordered medium rare had not a hint of pink. Lobsters chewy. Even the fried egg with the steak was over cooked and brown and tough. I am one who honestly hates to complain. Others in my family have no problem with it. They tell the waitress. She politely offers to replace the steak of the person who complained. Again, it came back well done. Not even close to MR. Again she takes it back after agreeing. Returns with an honest to goodness raw steak...as if the kitchen decided to send an FU message. Ok forget it, lets get out of here. Can we see the manager please? Manager was a very sweet young lady. We said we honestly had a horrible experience and felt the entire meal was a disaster. She said she would take the one steak off the bill....then two steaks. We said she was appeasing only the people who were most vocal and not those of us who didn't speak up. She said that was the best she was allowed to do. By then we were all fired up and upset. We will happily pay for our wine and drinks but our meal was a disaster. The manager said the owner will not let her do more than remove the two items. Well, then we will leave. We wanted to pay for drinks and tip our server. We were told then that they would CALL THE Police! My 81 year old mother said please do. The police show up and our party of 8 are standing near the front discussing it with them, who told us we have to pay if the restaurant insists. We were joking with them that they need to arrest our mom. We went ahead and paid with no other choice. Here's where the fun really began. We have valet bring us our cars and as we were getting in our cars one of our party made a comment to someone arriving that the food wasn't very good. Next thing we hear are the words "screw you cheapskates!" We look up and it was an older looking blond waitress serving a table in the outdoor area!!!!! Then a woman at her table yells something that you people just tried to get out of paying your bill and we should "go back to west palm". I guess that is some kind of a local insult. And that was our lovely experience at Nick and Johnnies. And on another note, the following night we had a spectacular meal at Buccan with impeccable service, amazing food, great ambience, and an overall opposite experience. We enjoyed every moment and our party of 10 didn't try to get out of paying any aspects of it, and no one called us names(that we were aware of)! My advice is obviously that you can do better than Nick and Johnnie's in Palm Beach. Gordon Ramsey this place needs you!

Went here for brunch on Mother's Day. We couldn't get reservations for anything earlier than 1 p.m. We waited around until 1:30 to get seated and noticed that all the tables that were being prepped for the next people to seat were missing the white tablecloth which kind of sucks because that's what you would expect to have on your table at this place. The next thing we noticed was that they were starting to run out of certain food items and were putting out other substitutions in their place which we didn't think was really that great. There were $15 bottomless mimosas and after two they were mostly orange juice . The service was excellent as usual and because I was a mom and didn't have to pay I had no idea how much the brunch went for. But just to give you a head's up if offer it and you want to go there for Father's Day brunch keep in mind, get there earlier. You will get the best food and the best of everything for your money. The best part was that I was surrounded by family and friends and that was the best part of the day :-)

Cute outdoor seating, great lunch spot. I drive by this place often and always thought it was so cute, so when the hubby had an hour free for lunch he scooped me up from work and we decided to try it out. First impression was great - the outdoors seating is nice, surrounded by foliage. When we walked in the front door the place was quaint. However, our seating was a bit awkward - once entering there were three servers/hostess standing grouped together staring at us, saying nothing. Breaking the silence, I said 'Hi, could we have a table for two' - crickets - then I say 'outside', finally one of them responds and takes us to a table. Beyond that, it was a great lunch. I had the Chopped Kale & Quinoa Salad - the combination of flavors were great I would definitely order again. Hubs had the Fish Tacos - all the flavors were there, especially noting the side of rice and beans (he's latino and very picky on his R&B's - passes with flying colors!). One thing to step up this dish however, is that they should use double tortillas. All the juices soften the tortilla making it fall apart - with double, you can actually pick it up. We were there on a weekday and even though it wasn't very busy our server seemed to forget about us a few times. Overall, food had flavor and the atmosphere was cozy, however service could be improved.

I have 4 stars for the food, good service but the restaurant should focus and go with the space they have, don't try to shove as many tables in any corner you can find...

A Delightful break from the Beach. Nick and Johnnie's sets itself apart from your traditional outdoor patio, dressy casual restaurant in the Palm Beach area feeling more like a New York-styled upscale saloon reminiscent of Riviera in the West Village. The atmosphere does have one totally beach-living difference - a retractable roof in the main dining area to allow for starry nights that a NY place could never boast. Oktoberfest is coming this weekend (Oct 28th), so make your reservation and enjoy Bavarian chow or drop in anytime for deliciously prepared apps and entrees with special selection cocktails to match.

Came here on a Tuesday night for dinner to try the food. My sister is thinking of having her rehearsal dinner here before her wedding. They have a big room in the back with a retractable roof so the setting is a nice place for a big group. We just made the reservation and didn't mention that we were trying it out for a big event, so no special treatment. The service was good but for some reason the waitress spilled every one of my beverages a little. First my "Johnny's Jackass" which was pretty tasty and a nice sized mixed drink , then my wine , then my decaf coffee (which tasted burnt and or mixed with espresso ) . By the end of the night , the table cloth in front of me was every color of the rainbow. As for the food : gazpacho was a really nice presentation , the tuna taco was nothing to write home about, and the lobster taco was a hit. I tried a spare rib from someone else plate , enjoyable . The items I would avoid are the "bowls". It's a strange concept and some of the higher priced items on the menu. My grandfather had the Tuscan (or some other Italian city, I forget ) with shrimp. It was basically three nice sized shrimp over a pile of garlic mush mixed with rice. I'm not sure if this place will be the winner for the rehearsal but it definitely "doable"

Spent a weekend in palm beach with my boyfriend and was told Nick and Johnnies was the place to go...they were right!!! The food was so good we went for lunch and dinner the next night. Had a few really great servers, Kate for lunch and Angie for dinner, both were attentive, but not over barring, and made sure we had everything we needed. Had the lobster roll for lunch, it was delicious, a perfect balance of mayo and lemon. My boyfriend had the steak wrap, cooked perfectly to a med. rare, served with house cut fries. Dinner was also wonderful, we tried their famous tuna tacos and unique calamari with mango and peppers-YUM!, and we both had the yellow tail snapper for dinner. Bar night life was also fun, there was a live jazz singer who tore it up! A great spot for casual yet romantic dining!

Had the fish tacos. Yummmmm Fries were awesome too! Drinks were not great. Had to add an extra shot into them. They were also inconsistent depending on the bartender. Made with different ingredients, different glasses, different colors... Staff was great. Evening battening staff was definitely better at making drinks. The garden seating was nice and relaxing. Definitely gave a nice beach vibe.

While the ambience was nice and the service was friendly and attentive, the food left something to be desired. Started with the mussels and the duck quesadilla- Mussels were nice- large, tender, flavorful broth; duck quesadilla was nothing special- duck was tender but there was not much cheese and for the price, it was not impressive at all. My ahi tuna steak came coated in panko for some reason- this wasn't mentioned on the menu. I feel it overpowered the taste of the fish. My wifes jumbalaya was lacking in heat and flavor. Very overpriced for items lacking in flavor. Our most forgettable meal while on vacation in the area.

I wish I could give ratings for 2 different things: the food (3 stars) & the atmosphere (5 stars)...but I'll settle on an average of the 2. The location and seating area of the restaurant is excellent. We sat outside on the patio - the weather was amazing and not too hot. I got a glimpse of inside and the decor was very cozy.. when I go back I'd like to sit in the back area, it looked kinda like a greenroom. I liked the music they were playing, it wasn't over loud or obnoxious and we could continue our conversation without having to scream at each other. Our server was super friendly and gave out great suggestions with drinks and food. The food.. was hit or miss for all 3 of us that were dining there. We arrived early and decided to do the Sunset dinner course (which lasts til 6:30 PM), which is 3 meals for $25...a pretty snazzy deal if I say so myself. Some of the items were ordered were fantastic, such as the ahi tacos, chopped green salad, key lime pie (surprisingly!!), & panko snapper. The items that were a thumbs down were the calamari (super chewy), ceviche (too funky for my taste), & sadly the curry chicken..it was so salty I felt that I was drinking seawater and it over powered the dish. I would definitely go back and try the regular items on the menu and hopefully have a better tasting meal cause I would love to continue going here! :)

Came here for an early dinner before heading to the airport. Music was excessively loud at 4:30 in the evening. Asked them to turn it down a couple of times and got a lame excuse about how the volume changed with the song. Food was overall poor. We had a larger party so we split two hod dogs as appetizers. Nothing really special here. The hot dogs were the highlight of the meal. For main course my party had two burgers and two steak frenchies. Both burgers were supposed to be cooked medium-well but they came out well-done+. Not a huge deal but for a burger over $10 I expect it to be cooked right. The steak frenchies experienced the same fate. Both were overcooked. One of the two frenchies was 1/3 gristle. Waitstaff was nice but was not accommodating when we asked them to turn down the music. With so many other good options in the general area we won't be coming back.

We had a wonderful evening here last Friday night. Christian was THE BEST server! The hostess even made our "Girls Night Out" party of ten a Happy 40th sign with balloons and all. Nice personal touch! The chopped salad was very fresh with lime juice as dressing. The Mahi & Lobster tacos were delish. After dinner we stayed & danced to a some funky, fun music. Very talented band! Thanks for everything. We will all be back next time we're in the area!

Not sure how this restaurant is able to survive where it is. The menu is small and the food is absolutely horrible. I'm not one to complain at restaurants but when I'm paying $40 an entree, I don't expect to receive frozen broccoli (yes, the middle was still ice cold when it was served to me) and unseasoned steaks. It's very clear that no one in that kitchen has ever been trained professionally. I sent my meal back after one bite and told the server I'd just like the item taken off the bill. She came back to tell me that the manager would have to call the owner for permission to comp the single item. Huh? Well, sure enough the owner told the manager that my $40 steak that I didn't eat could not be comped. I refused to pay for an item I didn't eat so the owner told the manager to call the cops on me (this was a family dinner with my wife and two young kids) so she did. The police told us that this was common at that restaurant and we're understanding but asked us to pay for the meal. As we left the restaurant we were heckled by the servers and hostesses as the manager was in tears. It was literally an episode of one of those restaurant rehab shows. I was expecting Gordon Ramsay to walk through the door at any minute. On our way out I overheard another customer complaining that there was a roach in her entree. Not surprising as it doesn't look like anyone's cleaned this restaurant in 10 years. Word of advice from someone who has dined almost everywhere in the area: don't eat here. There are several other restaurants in Palm Beach that blow this place out of the water. I don't expect this place to last much longer.

Our favorite go to place in Palm Beach. Lovely outdoor seating. Great drinks and good food. The staff is very nice and accommodating. The crowd is interesting. Wear your polo shirts and white pants. And pop those collars. You've got to check this out.

Great food, drinks and atmosphere. I've been coming to this spot since I can remember- through many name changes- but Nick and Johnnie's does it right. The sidewalk dining space is lovely, as is the back open-air dining room. I've never had a bad meal and I've had a lot of different things (soup/salads/seafood) the kale salad is a standout, as is the mac n cheese. The drinks are great- I recommend the dark and stormy, which is nicely done with a lot of fresh ginger. Always good/attentive service. Wonderful people watching, too!

I eat out maybe 5 times a week and like to try some place new .. This is the first and last time I will be eating at this restaurant .. The service was good but the food left a lot to be desired.. Skip the entrees and go straight to the desert and coffee is my best advice..

Great food. Great ambiance, great location and great service. I had Caesar salad to start. You can tell the dressing is made in house. Next was the guajillo steak tacos. Oh dear lord those are good. Melt in your mouth good with delicious avocado and fresh black beans. Definitely not canned stuff. Desert was doughnuts with dark chocolate and caramel dipping sauce. Drool!!! Great wine. Only thing that could have been better was the coffee but oh well. It's not enough to make it lost a yelp star. Great people and car watching too!

We were in PB looking for a nice place to celebrate a birthday. We went on line and found several positive reviews for Nick and Johnnies (4 stars). I must honestly say this was the worst dining experience of my life. We were seated at a table that was not set with silverware/napkins etc. The waitress arrived with a basket of stale, cold bread. We ordered a bottle of wine. The wine came to the table and was set down unopened. The waitress left the unopened bottle and did not return. We ordered fried oysters and raw oysters. The fried oysters were minuscule and the raw oysters were so small that they appeared empty in the shells. The table and silverware was left dirty after we used it. We asked for more bread and were told they were waiting for a delivery to arrive??? it never came. Our entrees took an hour until served. The lobster was small and like rubber and the steak was overlooked, sent back and was returned raw. We complained to a manager who was very unhelpful and unresponsive. She said she left messages for the owner to be given permission to take charges off the bill. At this point we were so upset that we felt we shouldn't have to pay for such poor quality food and service. The owner refused to satisfy our request and the police were called and showed up at the restaurant. This place was a total nightmare. We urge anyone reading this to stay away from Nick and Johnnies. The owner and management handled this extremely poorly and the way we were treated is inexcusable.

Very nice place, friendly staff , great ambience, reasonable prices! I am very new to Palm Beach, FL. Arrived couple of days ago for a long weekend get away. Me and my husband went to Nick and Johnnie's for lunch on Sunday. We asked for outdoor table and we were seated right away. I had Crepe Madame. Ham and Gruyere wrapped in a fluffy, cooked to perfection crepe, and toped with two sunny side up eggs= perfect brunch dish. I love the fact that they have also plenty of healthy options. My husband ordered Protein Green Wrap with collard greens, tuna, avocado, tomatoes, onions... This dish is not very big but it comes with a choice of side, still very hungry people should probably have it as an appetizer or have something else in addition to it. We also had a side of the home made potato chips. It was warm and just cooked, crunchy salty goodness. There was also a very good and chill live band playing some Jimi Hendrix (no, it was not loud). I will definitely go back and recommend. I have nothing bad to say!

I came here for lunch on a Saturday and it wasn't too busy. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was great. It was a little hot due to the way the restaurant is setup. There's sort of an awning that covers the backside of the restaurant which lets in a lot of light and unfortunately a lot of heat. Nick and Johnnie's is a little pricey, too. You'll definitely pay a Palm Beach premium for dining here. Definitely a place worth checking out.

An excellent spot that I found out of pure luck while driving North on the 1A1. A cute bistro with sidewalk seating and an awning (there were several sudden, tropical downpours while I was eating) and a lovely staff. Angie told my friend and I where to go for lodging, where to see Manatees and what was good on the menu. We both had the rather hefty cheeseburger ($14) served with either fresh fruit bowl, cole slaw or fries. I couldn't get my mouth around it! This was one juicy, well-cooked burger and I destroyed it within minutes. A bit pricey but not too..they were closing when we got there but were very accommodating.

I recently had lunch at Nick & Johnnies and was extremely impressed with the restaurant. I had the tuna salad wrap, which is simple, but it had extra touches to it that made it great. The ordinary made extraordinary is what makes a good restaurant great. I am going back for Sunday brunch soon and will definitely be in for dinner.

On vacation from Boston. Read goo reviews and decided to check it out, we were not disappointed. Great food, location, and atmosphere. Quality food, you get what you pay for and our server, Maria, was spectacular. All of the service was top notch. I highly recommend Nick and Johnnie's.

Modified my rating because of poor service that we've received over the past few visits. However, Food is great and consistent - with many healthy options. My personal favorite is the kale salad. Nice outdoor seating and dog friendly dining!

Had a really pleasant dinner here this past weekend! Nice ambience, great wait/bar staff. Kind of surprised that it wa virtually dead on a Saturday evening on Palm beach, but I guess the Snow birds aren't down yet. I started with the Bahamian Chowder, good, not great, could have used some more fish or other seafood. My wife shared Calamari with her friend, and it was actually very good. My buddy had the Lentil soup, looked good, but not great. My main course was the Panko crusted Yellowtail. It was really good . . . not sure why restaurants serve mashed potatoes with fish . . . My wife had the Salmon, and it wasgood! My feeling is this is a great place for lunch, or drinks . . . Dinner wasn't over the top for what it coast, but an overall enjoyable experience!

Went for lunch. Interesting entree salads, a good lobster roll and an excellent Mediterranean appetizer platter. We really liked the atmosphere. Kind of a hippie-back room-garden feel to the dining room that was relaxing on a sunny afternoon. Service was fine. Neither yeah nor meah. I'd probably go back and check it out in the evening.

Purpose of Visit: Business lunch. Found this nice spot right on Royal Poinciana Way. We sat on the ouside patio area which was very nice. Ordered a steak wrap which was cooked medium rare with some guacamole, ionions, lettuce and tomatoes. sliced flank steak was very tender and spiced well. Service was very attentive and the atmosphere was casual but elegant. Recommend for any business type lunch

Best Locational. In the heart of Palm Beach. True feel of PB COme see the local dressed in all their pastel garb We sat outside and smoked cigars and had dinner on the patio. CHeck out super daily specials We had Yummy Guacamole & chips Sliders of short rib=Equally Yummy Tuna Tartar-excellent. TUna tacos. How cute and delicious and I should know being from So Cal. I highly recommend this place.

Solid bar/grill on Palm Beach. The outdoor seating is very enjoyable. The menu features a lot of seafood. The ahi tacos are a big win. Lobster, fish and ribs around the table all were terrific. Service was friendly and very helpful (thanks, Tim!). Had to strip away the last star for some really over-the-top obnoxious music. The DJ was totally out of control, spinning rap, 80's and pretty much everything in his iPod at ear-splitting volume. I might not have had such a problem had not one of the songs been laden with expletives. I'm not a prude, but I just don't want to be assaulted by this stuff whilst trying to enjoy dinner and nice winter evening on the beach.

Fun atmosphere and tasty food. Met my future husband here actually! Only negative about N&Js is that the drinks are pricey! I'm talking $10-12 per short mixed drink! Don't come here if you're on a budget, that's for sure. It's fun to be here and out on the island though!

I spent five days at a conference in Palm Beach not too long ago. The hotel conference was wonderful but the food there was oh so pricey, and my first night in town I went looking for a cheaper, more relaxed alternative to the hoity on-site food. Voila: I happened across Nick and Johnnie's on Royal Poinciana Way, and it was an answer to my prayers. The vibe is lower-key--not cheapo by any standard of the imagination, so don't come expecting budget eats--but it's not as overly fancified as many of the places on the PB island are. The food was out of sight. Everything I had here was memorable: the veggie burger is fresh and filling (comes with avocado and hummus); the fish taco entree is excellent even by the high standards that I am used to thanks to SoCal fish tacos; and the BBQ chicken special I had on my last night there was succulent, with tangy sauce, rich creamy mac n cheese, and best of all, watermelon with a sprinkle of sea salt. But even though all these meals were fantastic, the best thing I ate at Johnnie's were the ahi tacos: they come four small tacos to a serving, on crispy homemade tortillas, with fresh rare ahi, spanish rice, and just a drizzle of tangy aioli. The menu says they're famous, and whether or not that's true, oh lord they deserve to be. The best thing about N&Js though was the totally cool and friendly waitstaff. Because I was escaping conference lunches and dinners, I went solo and sat at the bar on all my visits there. The 'tenders were invariably drop-dead adorable young women with oodles of heartwarming southern charm. I went there so often they remembered me by name and even asked about the conference I was escaping. One of them even gave me a free cookie for dessert just because I asked nicely. I would gladly make any or all of them my wife (or wives). In case it's not obvious, how much did I love Nick and Johnnie's? So much that I went there for EVERY lunch and dinner during the conference--seriously, like nine times in a row. Ok, ok, this was partly because the conference meals are unbearably stuffy and boring, but also because just after one visit I knew it was a place where you could relax, enjoy the company of some good people, and have some excellent food. What's better than that?

Hummus plate well worth it. Ask to sit on the patio so you can car and people watch. Great food and presentation although felt a little rushed during the meal. They made up for it though by bringing us complimentary dessert since it was our 25th anniversary!

So it took 8 minutes for the parking guy to show up and take my car. The place has nice ambience. The service seems good. Prices are high, but this is the island. They'll deliver on the goods, right? . Then the food arrives. Chicken sahara. Rotary meeting dry skinless and overcooked. The Lobster Risotto is paella, and only adequate paella. That had them down to two stars. Then something wasn't right in my beet salad, so I got a touch of food sickness. That was it for me. One star and I'll be back when it's a new place in this building. The location rocks. The kitchen has a lot of nerve charging four-five star prices with such 2-star food.

Nick & Johnnies is a great casual dining spot. We wanted a casual, spot for great local fare and the Concierge from The Breakers let us in on his favorite local spot. It is deceptively small from the outside but HUGE once inside. We saw many locals playing cards at one table and when their food arrived simply moved to a different table. To say the place is accommodating is an understatement. We were there a bit on the early side, and when the rush started the card playing granny's were confined to one table. As a group we ordered 6 appetizers and the calamari ranked up there with any I have ever had. The Deviled Eggs were as good as my grandmother made and I ended up getting 2 orders for myself. For an entree I had the evening special "Conch Pasta". I know that other people were there, and they ate, and likely talked, but I have zero recollection of it. The pasta was that good. Later, I was told that I kept moaning as I ate, again, I have no recollection.

We love Nick & Johnny's! We, being myself and the 17 other people that make an annual trek from Oregon for 10 days of sun & fun at a friend's parent's amazing estate on Palm Beach Island (Thanks guys!) We spend a lot of time here. Various groups of 4-8 from the house usually head there for lunch and an occasional after dinner cocktail (or four). The staff is always friendly and accommodating, the drinks are strong, the food is good and the ambiance is great. What more can you ask for! We'll see you again in October!

We dined outside on the patio and had a delicious dinning experience. The seafood was delicious and there were so many delicious salads and appetizers that we ended up sharing a few different choices. The gazpacho was a bit salty, but had a nice fresh flavor. My husband had the kale and quinoa salad and loved every bite. The tuna tacos are true to their reputation and the appetizer portion is very generous. Save room for dessert as the doughnuts are freshly made and served hot with caramel and a dark chocolate sauce. Seriously yummy!

On a nice Saturday afternoon, we decided to eat here. I got the fish and chips. The fish had a dark appearance normal to that of over used old grease. Needless to say that it was rather horrible meal. The worst dinner experience here that I had. Waitress was not attentive either. Honestly do yourself a favor an eat elsewhere.

Very nice environment and set up to this place.. The employees were dressed so casually you really can't tell them apart from the customers.. Great place! Off season, so it was quiet, but great service, nice patio seating, and the most delicious ahi tuna tacos I've ever had. Unfortunately they are just an app; they should make these an entree and serve them with the buffalo mozzarella - also fabulous. Pretty pricey for the portion sizes, but if you want great food you have to pay for it.

As a disclaimer, this review is regarding a dinner I had here on New Years Eve. While I take into consideration the fact that it was busy--having a stellar performance in a crowd is what makes a truly great restaurant shine. This one was a little dull. I will say that service was really good. Cocktails were also wonderful. I ordered a Peach Bellini Martini, and it was made perfectly. The ambiance was vibrant, equally as it was relaxing--the open ceiling is a nice touch. The food however, wasn't as good as I hoped. I started with a beet salad, of which were not fully cooked. It was almost as if I was eating a raw purple potato--no bueno. I also had the Braised Short Ribs, which was ok. It was tender, but not as moist as I prefer. It also lacked any flavor other than the meat--this could have been a result of hardly any sauce accompanying the dish. All in all, Id like to give this place another shot...just bad first impression.

Have eaten here often and I find that the food is fabulous. However, the music can be loud enough to be terribly uncomfortable (you have to ask them to turn it down) and the service, when bad, is pathetic. Tonight, for example, we had the tuna tartare tacos which were fantastic. We also had shrimp, salad and desert - all terrific. The service, though, was AWFUL. My martini glass had lipstick on it and the waiter was nowhere to be found ( gosh he had two tables including ours so no wonder he was a mess) so we had to return it ourselves. We then told the waiter about it and that we had exchanged it and he said "yeah, I don't blame you". The other table finally talked to the manager. On the other hand, lunch has always been super .

Definitely worth a visit if you're in town. I found Nick and Johnnies on yelp after looking into recommendations for Cucina Del Arte, its sister restaurant, which wasn't as highly recommended. If the pork with mushroom risotto is on special, I'd get that again. It was awesome as leftovers the next night. We also had the steak tacos, which were tasty, but I found it a little bit odd that there was white rice inside them. Nice and light, though, and the addition of avocado was perfect.

I had the Ahi tuna tacos which is normally an appetizer as my entree. The waitress said there were four small tacos but very delicious. They may have been small, but they were stuffed and overflowing with Ahi tuna, avacado and muy delicioso! Very filling! And I had with me my elderly 85lb mother who is a very picky eater and eats very little. But she loved her french fries and the fresh bread. The service was satisfactory but the food was wonderful! Definitely will return with friends and family!

Nick and Johnnies has taken Palm Beach by storm. After their opening early summer, they have locked right into their groove and the food is exceptional, the drinks are well made, the crowd is outstanding, and the service is impeccable. Chef Kent (the John of N&J) has worked up a menu that is unique and experimental, while still having some of the warm-your-belly homestyle cooking, too. Key items to try are the Tempura Shrimp, the Aussie Shortribs, and the Steak Frites, all great items! The Sunday Lunch crowd is spectacular in the season, and the nightlife here is phenomenal. Just like its sister restaurant down the street, Cucina Dell'arte, Nick & Johnnies converts to a full on bar at night and the Palm Beach elite come out to play.

Finally a place on the island with GREAT food, good service, fantastic music and a great staff!!! The Steak is amazing, and you cannot go wrong with the dessert menu! Sit outside for some true old school PB dining or come late and dance on the back dance floor.... If you are a stickler for service ask to be seated in Alex's section, he is a fantastic waiter and will take good care of you. Hess is the manger and does an excellent job making sure everyone enjoys themselves, how can you not?!

The food here is amazing, but our service was definitely not. I think the waitress might have been new- maybe? She didn't know anything about the menu that we asked her (and we didn't have very many questions) and she spilled a cosmo on our table. She was sweet though and wasn't rude, so that made it a little better. Now for the good part- the food was seriously amazing. We did the prix fixe menu for $35.00. It included app, entrée, and dessert. My app was the mac and cheese with cheddar and gruyere and it was the best I have ever had, it beats my fave from a place in NYC. The serving was big enough to be dinner. I had a striped bass special for my entrée and that was very good too- simply served with green beans and mashed potatoes. Dessert was another highlight- chocolate chip cookies and a glass of milk. The drinks are good too- I had 2 cosmos and they were delicious and I am very particular about my cosmos.

this place was great - had a salad that I can't remember the name of but it had a fried egg, ciabatta bread, mushrooms and skirt steak - phenomenal - also they have a great selection of fresh juices - I had something with greens, apple juice and something else - very good. highly recommend this place.

Walking distance from The Breakers - good place to grab a quick lunch. I ordered the Quinoa & Kale Salad served with grilled snapper (addition) - different but healthy, tasty and filling, especially with the soy-lime vinagrette. My husband had the Fish Tacos (grilled snapper) served with Black Beans and Rice. He liked the tacos, but they were not as good as the Mahi Mahi tacos served at the Ocean Club (Breakers). Also, the beans were dried and the rice was grainy, not cooked thoroughly. We sat outdoors, it was nice and breezy. Service was good and attentive. Good for lunch, not sure, I would drop by for dinner.

Nick and Johnnie's was my favorite restaurant during my recent visit to Palm Beach. We had fish tacos, mojitos, and tuna tartare. Everything was DELICIOUS. It is quite a scene, so I felt under-dressed in my Patagonia fleece, but it made for good people watching. Great outdoor seating which had heaters for the cooler nights.

The old Chuck & Harold's has newly opened to Nick and Johnnie's. Same crowd as Cucina. Very much like Cucina just larger, better music, newly renovated and different food. We ordered appetizers only, since we went to eat so late. The Tuna Tataki, Clams, Ribs, and Tempura Shrimp. I did not try the shrimp, however everyone said it was good. The clams were ok. They couldv'e had a stronger flavor. I did enjoy the tuna tataki. Service was good. Decor was good. Definitely a good time.

This is a great place to eat, hangout or come late night. The food is consistently delicious, including the ahi tacos, the complimentary bread and yummy oil, and the chick pea and curried chicken is fantastic. The desserts I have had have underwhelmed me. The brunch is really good, especially the french toast. For out-of-towners it is worth noting that many, many locals hangout here, which is always a good sign. The waitstaff and bartenders are very friendly.

This is a great place to grab lunch. I had the grilled grouper sandwich with the jalapeno tartar sauce, and it was delicious. The service was also extremely attentive. They have a patio area, so you can take advantage of a nice day while having a bite to eat. The costs are a little high for what you are getting, but that is par for the course in Palm Beach anyway.

We stopped in for lunch on a Friday. The place was full outside, but there was no wait for a table inside. We had the red snapper fish sandwich and the fish tacos. The food was good, but unremarkable. The menu selection seemed a bit short, much like this review.

Thank You!!

Blackberry mojitos! Still can't find them better anywhere else. Also the wait staff is amazing. Very welcoming and helpful. Great for dinner, family gatherings, events, or drinks!

The outdoor seating at noon exudes the electricity that is inherent to Palm Beach. Perfect for people watching and relaxing with friends. The food is delicious and service phenomenal. Classic dishes with a modern twist.

The lobster was probably the best I've had yet and I've eaten lots of lobsters.. & the Tuna Tartare Tacos are a must try.. I would definitely.return here whenever I'm in Palm Beach..

Quite simply, the food at this place is awesome! I love going there for lunch for the Gulfstream Salad. Everything on the menu is great and super fresh. The ambiance is relaxed and there is a great outdoor patio.
